Our location is in a small rural town of about 200 residents, just off the Trans Canada Hwy. Our 2 acre lot has plenty of mature trees for privacy. We are located less than 5 miles from a conservation area where you can enjoy a leisurely hike on their trails, have a picnic or put your kayak/canoe into Black Bay, which is a bay off of Lake Superior. Another option is a 3-5 minute drive to a federal dock nearby where you could launch your boat or kayak. Also, if you have children, there is a small playground located at the community centre a couple minute walk from our place. If digging around in the rocks for your own amethyst sounds fun, you may want to visit the mines nearby. Blue Point amethyst mine is 15 minutes west of us right off the Trans Canada Hwy. Want to check out the provincial park and walk their trails at Ouimet Canyon. A 15-20 minute drive on a paved road will get you there. Eagle Canyon Adventures is another option along the road to Ouimet Canyon. It has two suspension bridges over a canyon, 300’ & 600’. They also have Canada’s longest, highest and fastest zip line. There are many hiking trails within 5 minutes to an hour from here that vary in degree of difficulty. You’ll also find a small country store just up the highway from us that stocks almost everything you may need. From food, alcohol and gifts, to gasoline or diesel, they’ve got it. Also located there is the Grill Shack if you don’t feel like cooking. And if you want to head to the city, it’s just a 45 minute drive from our location.

Drive or back in and choose your spot. You have options of where you would like to park. You can pull straight in, park alongside the far side of garage which is level, and exit by driving around the back of garage so no backing is required. Or back in if you prefer. You can also park behind the garage, also level, or park closer to the fire pit, by the large cedar tree. (not as level but will be fine with blocks or levellers)
