About
Embark on an unforgettable RV camping adventure where the gentle hum of alpacas sets a peaceful backdrop to your stay. In the heart of scenic southwestern Ontario, this location offers a unique glimpse into the world of alpaca farming, along with the comforts and joys of life on the road. RV enthusiasts seeking a serene getaway can park their homes-on-wheels either on a picturesque lane with alpaca neighbors curiously peeking through the fences or opt for the solid comfort of a paved driveway. This setting affords a pastoral camping experience with a twistyou're invited to delve into farm life by engaging with approximately 60 friendly alpacas that call this place home. Your stay is not just about where you rest your head but also what you can explore and take home. The farm store brims with an array of alpaca-derived delightsfrom cozy apparel that whispers luxury to charming toys and unique gifts. You can even find gourmet meats and exquisite hides, all testament to the sustainable cycle of farm living. Engage with these wonderful creatures through guided tours that unravel the mysteries of alpaca farming or choose to walk alongside them, feeling the soft earth underfoot as you meander through verdant fields or explore the rustic beauty of nearby bush trails. For those wishing to roll up their sleeves and dive into farm life, volunteer opportunities abound. Align your visit with the bustling shearing season of late April through May, witness the miracle of birth and breeding in the months that follow, or assist with the care and training of the young crias throughout the summer. House Rules
Alpaca pastures or paddocks may be entered only when accompanied by one of the host family members. Please respect the other campers but feel free to interact with them as much as is comfortable for both parties. Participation in farm chores is optional and welcomed. Feed the alpacas only foods approved by one of the family members. Please place all recycling materials in the provided bin.
Items to Purchase
Alpaca fibre is extremely soft, warm, and comfortable to wear. Our socks are available in either a dress sock or a thicker terry sock, great for hiking, biking, golfing or any active use. Shawls and sweaters are warm but at the same time wick away moisture making them comfortable to wear year round. The hypo-allergenic property of alpaca products makes it a hit with most people. Toques, scarves, mitts, insoles, blankets and duvets are also part of our offerings to you. Children (and adults) love to interact with the alpacas and often purchase a stuffed alpaca toy or finger puppet to take home with them. Hides of all colours are also available to purchase, as well as alpaca meat.
