We're delighted to have you join us at Red Truck Ranch during this beautiful ranching season. We are a small family ranch just a few miles east of Bend nestled in the pastures of junipers and agriculture. As you take in the crisp mountain air and the stunning views, we hope you find peace and joy in every moment spent here. Bend offers a huge assortment of recreation possibilities from April to October. Of course, our river, the Deschutes is the crown of our city. Feeling adventurous? We have tubes for rent to float the Deschutes River and can even drop you off and pick you up for a fee. You’ll be greeted by Archie, our very large golden retriever that loves everyone. Twelve chickens wander the property freely, so we ask that your dogs do not run loose and always stay leashed. Our cows are friendly, but if they have new babies, they can be protective. Watch your step with cow pies…they happen. The electric fence that surrounds the large pasture IS ELECTRIC> so be cautious. The large fence gates that keep our cows safe and inside the big pasture must be closed at all times. Friendly, leashed pets are welcome! For everyone’s safety, please keep pets with you at all times, leashed and do not allow them to roam. We also have 2 beehives located behind the cow pen. They typically do not bother anyone but if you have any bee allergies please have the necessary medications with you. Keep your pets on leash and away from the hay and livestock. If there are no livestock that are visible in the large pasture, you can walk dogs back there. A doggie bag dispenser is provided at the rock crib/gate going into the field. Please pick up after your pets. We’re pretty easy going, and one of us will try to meet you in the gator at the RED TRUCK RANCH sign roadside (Hwy 20) to direct you to the campsite. Preferred check-in is 3-7 pm but we understand when that doesn’t work. Just communicate your ETA. Check-out is by 12pm the following day. Early check-in is possible, depending on prior members departure. Please call or text if you want an early check-in. Preferably, store purchases will be after you check-in and get set up. We appreciate your business and support the $30 minimum purchase suggested by Harvest Host. We will come visit you in the gator with ranch goodies for purchase. The camp area has two sites. Generator hours: 10:00am - 8:00pm (unless approved by us and the other guests for a later use/ or extreme heat). We are available for Harvest Host stays from April- October 31. Enjoy your stay.
