Hee Haw Hollow Farm – A Peaceful Farm Stay in Central Virginia Conveniently located halfway between Lynchburg and Appomattox (and Liberty University), Hee Haw Hollow Farm makes an excellent home base for travelers who want to explore the area and return to a peaceful countryside setting each evening. Within an hour or less, guests can visit the James River, Blue Ridge Parkway, Farmville, Charlottesville, and Roanoke, making our farm a perfect hub for day trips and scenic drives. Hee Haw Hollow is a working farm and animal sanctuary, home to donkeys, goats, llamas, chickens, and other farm animals. Guests are welcome to enjoy the farm atmosphere and stretch their legs along our 2.5 miles of trails that wind through pasture and woods. Depending on the season, guests may also visit our farm store, where we offer fresh eggs, seasonal vegetables, flowers, pumpkins, decorative gourds, and other items produced right here on the farm. Because this is a real working farm, our animals don’t always understand that nighttime is supposed to be quiet. You may hear the occasional hee-haw from the donkeys or a bark from one of our livestock guardian dogs as they keep watch over the farm. Fortunately, the chorus of frogs in the pond tends to drown out most of the nighttime chatter, creating a surprisingly peaceful soundtrack. Leashed dogs are welcome, but please note that we do have free-range farm birds on the property. For RV travelers, we offer two full hookup sites located near the residence, along with several flat boondocking sites around the property. One boondocking site also has easy access to water nearby. We are also flexible for longer stays when space allows. Our property is very easy to access and can accommodate any size rig and tow vehicle. Semi trucks deliver our hay regularly, so large motorhomes and trailers have no access issues. We can also accommodate groups traveling together and offer plenty of room for parking towed vehicles, trailers, or recreational toys.
