The History
For over 200 years, the Drexler family has been involved in commercial agriculture of some variety. This has included dairy farming, the production of vegetables and other crops. Part of the current farm is still livestock-based, raising sheep, alpacas, chickens, and livestock guardian dogs. The farm's longstanding history has led to a variety of unique offerings throughout each of the four seasons.
The Business Today
Today, Springside Farm primarily operates as a diversified agritourism farm, which means that most activities and offerings are based on the visitor experience. In the spring, they host a Spring Shearing Festival, featuring their own sheep and alpacas getting their annual haircuts. In the summer, they operate a day camp, and they host weddings almost every weekend between May and September.
