About
Imagine waking up to the gentle sound of wildlife stirring in the pristine wilderness of the Chugach Mountains, sitting at the doorstep of Anchorage's vast and venerable Chugach National Forest. For the adventurous souls seeking a unique RV camping experience with their 20' or less vehicles, this intimate, wild acre of Alaskan land promises a retreat that intimately acquaints you with nature's untouched beauty. Pitch your camp amidst the embrace of ancient trees and be lulled to sleep under the watchful gaze of the bald eagle on a plot of land that has been home to a rich variety of species for thousands of years. However, navigate your van into the cozy gravel driveway with care, as the path is narrow and the parking spot gently cradled by the lands natural contours not entirely level but wholly authentic. You'll park beside a charming tiny house, a hub of creativity and vibrant wilderness spirit, just a stone's throw away from exhilarating hikes and breathtaking vistas in the second largest National Forest in the U.S. Our host offers the rare opportunity for extended stays, inviting you to delve deeper into the Alaskan wilderness and rhythms of the local environment. While enjoying your RV camping stay, dive into the eclectic world of music and the Feldenkrais method offered on-site, or bask in the Alaska tales and traveler's insights shared from a porch that has seen two decades of river and wilderness guiding. Engage with a growing vision of Playful Arts and carry tunes and tales along with you as you explore the majestic wilderness of Anchorage and its surroundings. For those whose journeys are moved by the spirit of giving, a donation for the stay can be made with the freedom to reflect upon the value received. And for the practicalities of comfort and positioning, our host is on standby to discuss parking options and ensure your stay is as seamless as the Alaskan skyline. Prepare for an RV camping adventure that's as wild and free as the land itself, where the great American frontier welcomes you into its fold with open arms and untold stories. For any inquiries or to weave your own Alaska narrative into this wild tapestry, a call or text is always welcomed. Paint your own majestic picture of life on the edge of civilization, where eagles soar and the silence speaks volumes.
