Welcome to Irby Acres on the River - our little slice of Northern Michigan! Nestled on 11 peaceful acres along the beautiful Muskegon River, Irby Acres on the River is a place to slow down, reconnect with nature, and enjoy the beauty of "Up North." Take a stroll along our wooded trails, enjoy private access to the river, or simply relax with your morning coffee while watching for deer, wild turkeys, and other local wildlife. Whether you're enjoying the peaceful sounds of the river, spotting wildlife at dusk, or taking in a sky full of stars, we hope you'll find yourself settling into the slower pace of country life. Our property is surrounded by mature maple trees, and every spring we tap them to produce our own pure Michigan maple syrup—a tradition we're always happy to share with guests when it's available. We're continually making improvements for our guests. Electrical hookups are coming soon, fresh water is available during your stay, and we're exploring adding kayak rentals so guests can experience the Muskegon River from the water. We share Irby Acres with five Labrador Retrievers! They'll be safely put away during your visit, but if you're traveling with pets, please let us know ahead of time so we can make sure everyone—two-legged and four-legged—has a safe and enjoyable stay. Whether you're stopping for a peaceful overnight stay or using Irby Acres on the River as a base to explore Northern Michigan, we're excited to welcome you and share one of our favorite places with fellow travelers.
