This is a full hook-up space in an RV park community. Animas is a small town of 200 or so people, about 50 of which live year-round in the RV park. There are a couple of small convenience stores, a few places to eat, and the local Mercantile has gas, diesel fuel, propane & (limited) RV accessories. The Chiricahua Mountains are about 20 minutes NW and the Ghost Towns – Shakespeare and Old Hachita are each about 30 minutes away. The border to Mexico is about an hour and a half (Puerto Palomas or Agua Prieta). I have an air conditioned 14'x40' outbuilding on the property which I use as an art studio that you are welcome to use as well. The space itself is very basic: it is a graveled lot with very little vegetation (no shade) but has a lovely view of the mountains. There is a community coffee every Sunday morning if you'd like to mingle with the other residents. It's a great place to chill, take in the night skies, or just stopover while traveling I-10. NOTE: We are in a valley, it can get very dusty and very windy. I-10 does occasionally close due to poor visibility (typically 3-6 hours). In that case, your plan B is either Portal, AZ or Lordsburg, NM.
