The 140 acres that make up our Farm once grew tobacco in the hills of WV near the Ohio River. Now, the farm hosts visitors in its sunflower field in late summer thanks to the ingenuity of its 3rd-generation owner. There are about 50 head of cattle on the property, a small fishing pond, and lots of space for your well-trained pup to get all of it's energy out. The farm is bordered by the Mud River along its southern edge, making it great for kayak and canoe trips. It is a short 10 minutes from the interstate and bustling Huntington Mall shopping area. If you'd rather enjoy the small-town life, the farm is right between two small towns - the Village of Barboursville and City of Milton. Milton is home to Blenko Glass, a world-famous hand-blown glass factory that has been in business since 1921. The WV Pumpkin Festival is one of the state's largest - it welcomes over 50,000 visitors to Milton the first weekend in October. Barboursville has a great downtown dining and entertainment options. It also has a beautiful 750-acre city park that hosts disc golf and soccer tournaments. There are currently no city water, power, or sewage hookups. Guests can enjoy the sunflower field in late spring. There are over 4 acres and 10+ varieties of sunflowers blooming. It's a great photo opportunity and a relaxing experience strolling through the flowers. There's a small pond available for fishing or to let your pup go for a swim.
