Learn MoreLike most national parks, Cuyahoga Valley National Park is busiest during summer and fall, when the weather makes it easy to spend a day hiking along popular trails. October is especially popular for leaf-peeping. From mid-morning to late afternoon, and especially on weekends, Brandywine Falls and the Brandywine Gorge Loop are bustling. Blue Hen Falls is busiest in the summer from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Avoid crowds by arriving early in the morning or later in the afternoon, visiting on weekdays, or exploring lesser-visited areas of the park. Most wildlife is typically active during the early hours of the day or around dusk. Also check the Blossom Music Center schedule to see whether popular acts will draw large crowds during your visit.
Nearby Cleveland-area attractions include the Boston Mills/Brandywine Ski Resort, Hale Farm & Village, and the Ohio & Erie Canalway National Heritage Area. Technically within Cuyahoga Valley National Park, the Hale Farm & Village is a living history museum worth exploring. Outward from Cleveland, RVers can also visit Edgewater Beach, the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and the house from A Christmas Story.
